Do you need a license to drive a boat in Amsterdam?

It is possible to drive a boat yourself without a license. However, those boats do no come with a captain nor tour guide and they are very basic in terms of comfort. Furthermore, you need to watch out to not get lost in the canals and return the boat on time.
